Health Insurance Costs in Colorado
Deductible
The set amount you pay out-of-pocket each year before your plan starts paying for covered services, except for in-network preventive services. In-network preventive services are covered before the deductible is met.
Copays & coinsurance
A copay is a set amount that you pay out-of-pocket for each visit to an in-network health care provider. Coinsurance is the amount you pay for covered health care services after you have reached the deductible.
Out-of-pocket maximum
The out-of-pocket maximum is the most you will have to pay out of your pocket for covered health services each year.

A catastrophic plan is a high-deductible, low monthly payment option to protect you during serious health crises. To qualify for this coverage level, you must be under 30 years of age or 30 years of age or older with an approved hardship exemption from Connect for Health Colorado.
